Armenian military chief meets NATO allies in Brussels

Lieutenant General Edvard Asryan, First Deputy Defense Minister and Chief of the General Staff of Armenia, held bilateral meetings at NATO headquarters in Brussels during his working visit. He met with counterparts from Greece and Georgia and held private talks with representatives from France and Sweden.

The meetings with Greek and French officials emphasized the strong cooperation in defense. General Asryan expressed appreciation for Athens and Paris' contributions to Armenia’s military transformation and development, according to the statement issued by the RA Ministry of Defense.

During talks with Georgia, both sides discussed ways to enhance collaboration, particularly through sharing advanced military reform experiences.

The discussion with Sweden explored the potential for establishing bilateral defense relations.

These meetings are seen as crucial for the development of Armenia’s armed forces and deepening ties with international partners.
