RA, Belgian officials discuss Armenia-Azerbaijan border delimitation

Deputy Prime Minister Mher Grigoryan met with the Kingdom of Belgium’s Ambassador to Armenia, Eric de Muynck, accompanied by Belgium’s Defense Attaché, Colonel Marc Lefebvre.

Grigoryan and the Belgian ambassador emphasized the importance of the border delimitation process between Armenia and Azerbaijan, underlining its priority in ensuring regional security and peace.

Both parties underscored the significance of the "Peace Crossroads" project, viewing it as a vital instrument for establishing long-term peace and stability in the region.

The meeting also addressed the development prospects of bilateral and multilateral cooperation between Armenia and Belgium.

On January 16, Armenia’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced that Armenia and Azerbaijan had reached an agreement on a new segment of border delimitation. The agreement involves initiating work from the northern section, at the intersection of the Armenian, Azerbaijani, and Georgian borders, and proceeding southward to the Armenia-Azerbaijan border with Iran.
