Raffi Hovhannisyan, Armenia's first foreign minister and the founder of the Heritage Party, stated at Yerablur Military Pantheon that one individual, along with their subordinates, bears the primary responsibility for the loss of Artsakh, Armenian prisoners of war, and the fallen soldiers.
Referring to discussions on Ararat and Aragats as well as the Armenian Genocide, Hovhannisyan declared that he no longer considers Armenia to have a fully legitimate and complete leader, according to Sputnik Armenia.
Earlier, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan remarked on Public Television: "The discourse on Ararat and Aragats is crucial, particularly for military reforms, as under the narrative of Ararat and historical Armenia, no one will sell weapons to Armenia." During a meeting with the Armenian community in Zurich, he also urged a re-evaluation of the Armenian Genocide's history to understand its causes and consequences.
"For the loss of Artsakh, the Armenian prisoners of war, and our fallen soldiers, there is one criminal and primary culprit with all their subordinates. We are all responsible and guilty to some extent, but the main perpetrator, the criminal, is that person, whose name I will not mention," Hovhannisyan said.
Hovhannisyan emphasized the necessity of being worthy of the young men who sacrificed their lives for the defense of Ararat, Aragats, and the real and historical Armenia. He stressed that these concepts are unified, and those expressing different opinions are merely sharing their personal views.
January 28 marks the 33rd anniversary of the formation of the Armenian Armed Forces.
