Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan presented certain data: in 2024, Armenia's Gross Domestic Product (GDP) at current prices amounted to over 10.1 trillion AMD, an increase of 5.9% compared to the previous year, reports Aysor.am .
Addressing inflation, he stated that since 2018, inflation in Armenia has been 25.3%, and 0.3% compared to 2023.
"Inflation is an inevitable companion of economic growth," noted the Prime Minister.
"In the 2021 parliamentary elections, our goal was to ensure an average annual economic growth of 7%. In 2021, a 5.8% economic growth was achieved, in 2022—12.6%, in 2023—8.3%, therefore, our target indicator has been met," he said.
Pashinyan noted that from 2018 to 2024, Armenia's economy has grown by a total of 43.5%.
"This is a tremendous growth; it means that we have ensured an average annual economic growth of more than 6.1%," he said.
The Prime Minister thanked all members of the executive for their work.
"Armenia continues to be on a path of stable economic development," he added.
