Several countries have welcomed the agreement between Armenia and Azerbaijan on the text of a peace treaty.
Austria's Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed hope that the parties will soon reach a final agreement and sign the treaty. In a post on X, they stated: "We warmly welcome the progress made in establishing peace between Armenia and Azerbaijan and look forward to the prompt signing of the agreement. A comprehensive and just agreement will undoubtedly strengthen stability, security, and prosperity throughout the region."
Estonia considers the agreement on the peace treaty between Armenia and Azerbaijan an important step. Estonian Foreign Minister Magnus Tsahkna emphasized the significance of agreeing on the draft peace treaty between the two countries.
Latvia's Foreign Minister Baiba Braže congratulated Azerbaijan and Armenia on reaching an agreement on the text of the peace treaty, calling it an important step for the region. According to Minval.az , she stated: "We congratulate our good friends Azerbaijan and Armenia on reaching an agreement on the text of the peace treaty—an important step towards establishing lasting peace and stability in the region."
Germany has deemed the agreement between Armenia and Azerbaijan on the peace treaty significant, noting Armenia's courageous concessions towards achieving peace. A statement on behalf of Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock, published on the German Foreign Ministry's X, reads: "The news that Armenia and Azerbaijan have agreed on a peace agreement is cause for hope. After decades of hostility and war, the fact that lasting peace is now within reach is important for the region and beyond. After long negotiations, Armenia's courageous concessions make this final step on the path possible - a path we have accompanied both countries on. I call on both sides to now sign the peace agreement."
