The U.S. Department of Defense has stated that it does not comment on reports regarding the possible transfer of military equipment to Armenia, as previously reported by the Russian news agency RT.
"The United States highly values its relationship with Armenia. The Department of Defense does not comment on military equipment movements due to operational security considerations," the statement said, according to Armenpress.
The Armenian Ministry of Defense has not yet provided an official response.
Earlier, RT reported that the U.S. Army's logistics command plans to transfer military equipment and various technical gear from the Dülmen military base in Germany to the Zar training ground in Armenia for potential U.S.-Armenian joint exercises.
According to the published information, the transportation is scheduled between July 16 and August 7, with the equipment set to return to Germany between August 21 and September 20.
It was noted that the military equipment would be transported via Georgia, as the route cannot pass through Russia, Turkey, or Azerbaijan due to diplomatic clearance difficulties.
