During the first quarter of 2025, 702 fewer babies were born in Armenia compared to the same period in 2024. The natural population growth fell by 17.4% year-on-year, totaling only 181 people, down from 1,041 last year, according to Aysor.am .
Data from the National Statistical Committee show that 7,302 children were born in the first three months of 2025, compared to 8,004 in the same period of 2024.
At the same time, 7,121 deaths were recorded in the first quarter of 2025, which is 158 more than the corresponding period of the previous year.
