Armenia experienced an 11.3% drop in tourist numbers in the first quarter of 2025, led by a continued influx from Russia.
Between January and March 2025, Armenia welcomed 386,741 tourists, marking a decline of 11.3% or 49,034 visitors compared to the same period in 2024, according to Armenia’s National Statistical Committee.
In the first quarter of 2024, the number stood at 435,775 tourists, reports Aysor.am .
Of those arriving in early 2025, 144,072 were from Russia, accounting for 37.3% of all tourists. Georgia followed with 59,624 visitors (15.4%), and Iran with 34,369 (8.9%).
Additionally, 2,422 tourists came from Turkey during the same three-month period.
