Armenia’s Ministry of Defense has denied what it called “yet another disinformation campaign” by Azerbaijan.
"The statement by Azerbaijan's Ministry of Defense, alleging that on May 13, between 8:45 p.m. and 9:30 p.m., units of the Armenian Armed Forces opened fire toward Azerbaijani positions located in the eastern and southeastern sections of the border, does not correspond to reality," the ministry said in a statement.
On May 13, Aram Torosyan, spokesperson for Armenia’s Ministry of Defense, noted that “occasional, non-targeted gunfire is sometimes observed from the Azerbaijani side along the border.”
On May 9, at approximately 10:20 p.m., Azerbaijani armed forces fired toward the village of Khnatsakh in Armenia’s Syunik Province, damaging the roof of a residential house.
