On May 16 at 12:08 p.m. local time (08:08 GMT), Armenia’s Seismic Protection Territorial Service under the Ministry of Internal Affairs recorded a magnitude 2.3 earthquake in the Armenia–Georgia border region, 8 km northeast of Bavra village. The quake occurred at a depth of 10 km.
The seismic intensity at the epicenter reached 3 on the MSK-64 scale.
The tremor was felt in the Shirak region’s Bavra, Saragyugh, and Ghazanchi villages with an intensity of 2–3 points.
The epicenter was located at 41.14°N latitude and 43.90°E longitude.
