Secretary of Armenia’s Security Council Armen Grigoryan paid a working visit to the Islamic Republic of Iran, during which he met with the newly appointed President of Iran, Masoud Pezeşkian.
The two officials expressed satisfaction with the dynamic development of Armenia-Iran relations and emphasized the importance of bilateral visits.
Iranian President Masoud Pezeşkian extended his greetings to Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan.
While in Tehran, Secretary Grigoryan also met with Kamal Kharazi, advisor to Iran’s Supreme Leader and head of the Strategic Council on Foreign Relations. Grigoryan and Kharazi discussed the unblocking of regional communication routes and highlighted the significance of Armenia’s Crossroads of Peace initiative proposed by the government.
