On May 20 at 10:11 a.m. local time (06:11 GMT), Armenia's Seismic Protection Service recorded a 2.9-magnitude earthquake in the Armenia–Georgia border zone, 8 kilometers southeast of the village of Bavra. The quake originated at a depth of 10 kilometers.
According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs’ Rescue Service, the intensity in the epicentral area reached magnitude 4 on the MSK scale.
The tremor was felt in the Shirak province villages of Bavra, Saragyugh, and Ashotsk, with an intensity of 2 to 3 points.
The seismic activity occurred at geographic coordinates 41.08°N latitude and 43.88°E longitude.
