54,000 citizens submit income declarations, 23,000 receive social credits

Over 54,000 people have submitted income declarations as of May 22, and 23,000 of them have received social credits, according to Edward Hakobyan, head of the State Revenue Committee (SRC), during a report on the agency's 2025 activities.

“Our citizens have received over 2 billion in social credits,” Hakobyan stated, as reported by 1lurer.am .

He noted that due to a number of decisions, the declaration process has become more streamlined and user-friendly. Guidance materials have also been developed to support filers.

Hakobyan added that tax revenues have seen substantial growth in recent months. Tax collections rose by 12.7%, while customs revenue increased by 25.3%.

“There’s a 14% growth for January–April compared to the same period last year, translating into 120 billion drams more in tax income,” he said.

All salaried workers in Armenia must submit an income declaration starting November 1. Those who declare their annual income and report healthcare and education expenses for themselves or their family members during the year may qualify for social spending reimbursement.
