A rare tornado phenomenon was recorded in Artik, Armenia, on May 28, according to Gagik Surenyan, deputy director of the Hydrometeorology and Monitoring Center.

Surenyan shared the news via his Facebook page, where he also posted a video of the tornado.

"An extraordinary atmospheric event for Armenia: a tornado was just observed in Artik. Tornado and hail in Nahapetavan village, Shirak Province," he wrote alongside the footage.
