Jacob McGinn, Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for Democracy, Human Rights, and Labor, met with Archbishop Nathan Hovhannisyan and toured the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin, Armenia's spiritual center, the U.S. Embassy in Armenia reported.

McGinn underscored the value of Armenia’s spiritual heritage, calling Etchmiadzin a cornerstone of Christian identity for the Armenian people.

According to the embassy's statement, the visit offered an opportunity to gain in-depth insight into Armenia’s rich Christian legacy and the centuries-old significance of the Etchmiadzin Cathedral to the Armenian people.
