Hayastan Fund director named envoy to Hungary

Haykak Arshamyan has been relieved of his duties as the executive director of the Hayastan All-Armenian Fund and appointed as Armenia’s ambassador to Hungary. The decree was signed by Armenian President Vahagn Khachaturyan.

In his statement, Arshamyan thanked all members of the Fund’s Board of Trustees, led by President Khachaturyan.

“I also express gratitude to the Fund’s global network partners, donors, partner organizations and individuals, and of course, the staff of the Fund for their dedicated and collaborative work. I am confident that Armenians around the world will continue supporting programs vital to our homeland,” Arshamyan wrote.

Simultaneously, another presidential decree recalled Ashot Smbatyan from his position as Armenia’s ambassador to Hungary.

Additionally, Vahe Gevorgyan has been appointed as Armenia’s ambassador to the Kingdom of Thailand without changing his primary residence.

“Based on the Prime Minister’s proposal, Article 132(1)(2) of the Constitution, and Articles 13(3) and 14 of the Law on Diplomatic Service, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Armenia to the People’s Republic of China Vahe Gevorgyan is concurrently appointed as Armenia’s ambassador to the Kingdom of Thailand (residence: Beijing),” the decree states.
