Head coach of the Armenian national team, John van’t Schip, stated that the team improved its performance in the friendly match against Montenegro. Speaking at the post-match press conference, he said the game was evenly contested.
“It was a balanced game, but I also understand that match results are important. What matters now is that the team made progress in some areas,” the coach said, as reported by Armenpress.
Van’t Schip highlighted Daniel Aghbalyan, who made his debut for Armenia, as having performed well, and also praised team captain Varazdat Haroyan for his solid performance on the field.
The match between Armenia and Montenegro ended in a draw.
Armenia’s next match is scheduled for September, when they host Portugal in the FIFA World Cup qualifying round.
