Israel-Iran conflict may disrupt supply routes to Armenia

The Minister of Finance, Vahe Hovhannisyan, stated that the ongoing Israel-Iran conflict could disrupt deliveries to Armenia, according to "Azatutyun".

Earlier, Minister of Economy Gevorg Papoyan reported difficulties in transporting goods through Iranian territory. He noted that several Armenian shipments remain stuck at the Bandar Abbas port and on Iranian roads.

A few days ago, the State Revenue Committee also restricted the entry of Armenian cargo trucks into Georgia. As a result, Armenia is currently facing problems with freight movement through both of its main land corridors—via Iran and Georgia.

On the night of June 13, Israeli air forces launched strikes on at least six military bases near Tehran. Iranian state media reported that Israel also hit residential areas in Tehran and other cities. It was specifically noted that the headquarters of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) in Tehran was targeted. Iran's General Staff announced that there would be a destructive response to these attacks by the Israeli regime.

The IRGC declared that Tehran had launched “True Promise 3” in response to Israel’s attacks. This was announced following a speech by Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, in which he vowed a harsh retaliation against Israel.
