Prosecutors seek seizure of assets from ex-aviation chief

The Anti-Corruption Court has accepted a new claim by the Prosecutor General’s Office concerning the confiscation of assets deemed to be of illegal origin.

The Department for Confiscation of Property of Illicit Origin within the Prosecutor General’s Office has filed a demand to confiscate from former Head of the General Department of Civil Aviation (now the Civil Aviation Committee) Artyom Zhora Movsesyan and his affiliates, in favor of the Republic of Armenia:

  • 8 pieces of real estate;
  • 2 movable properties;
  • Shares in 5 legal entities;
  • 1,550,258,000 drams as illicit income and remaining funds;
  • 8,419,000 drams in funds of illegal origin either transferred to good-faith recipients or not identified.

The court has applied measures to secure the claim.
