Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has declared that the "Real Armenia" ideology represents a clearly defined blueprint for the country’s future. Speaking in the National Assembly, he revisited the slogan his political force used during the 2021 parliamentary elections—“There is a future, the future exists”—saying that this idea has now taken the shape of a tangible project, Armenpress reports.
“If a clearly outlined project for the future exists, then the future exists. If it doesn't, then there is no future. And yes, we have resolved this issue. What we present as the ideology of ‘Real Armenia’ is exactly that—an explicitly defined future blueprint,” said Pashinyan.
He emphasized that one of the core elements of this project is the normalization of relations with neighboring countries, mutual recognition of territorial integrity, and raising awareness of Armenia as a sovereign state.
Earlier, the prime minister had highlighted the importance of adopting a new Constitution as a key principle of the “Real Armenia” ideology. He noted that a nationwide referendum is essential because past constitutional referendums lack public legitimacy.
Pashinyan stated that the main goal of the new Constitution is to break away from the residual behavior of a stateless nation and to foster a nation-building political culture based on constitutional harmony and democratic participation.
