Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has begun an official visit to Turkey, arriving at Istanbul International Airport where he was welcomed by Turkish Deputy Foreign Minister Berris Ekinci. Pashinyan’s delegation includes Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan, Deputy FM Vahan Kostanyan, Armenian‑Turkish normalization envoy Ruben Rubinyan, press spokesperson Nazeli Baghdasaryan, and Commander of the Security Service of the Prime Minister's Office, Arthur Gasparyan.
During his stay, Pashinyan will meet not only with President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan but also with representatives of Turkey's Armenian community. His visit follows recent talks in which Turkish and Azerbaijani leaders also met, although there are no plans for a trilateral meeting with Azerbaijan’s President Ilham Aliyev—who has already returned to Baku, according to Baghdasaryan.
