Vigil held in Yerevan to support Iranian people

A group of Armenian citizens held a candlelight vigil outside the Iranian Embassy in Armenia to express solidarity with the Iranian people.

Bahram Tahiri, Iran’s deputy ambassador to Armenia, thanked the Armenian citizens for the initiative, according to Panorama.am . “Your support is very important to our people. We will inform Iran about your presence,” he stated.

Elen Manandyan, one of the participants, said: “This action is not only a sign of solidarity with our friend Iran but also a way to remind Armenian society that evil never sleeps. Armenia can be attacked at any moment, and the world will likely continue its silent indifference and offer us no protection.”

On the night of June 22, U.S. President Donald Trump announced successful strikes on three Iranian nuclear facilities in Fordow, Natanz, and Isfahan. He later declared the facilities had been completely destroyed and called the action a significant military achievement. Since June 13, Israel has conducted daily airstrikes on Iranian territory aiming to dismantle the Islamic Republic’s missile and nuclear program.
