Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan, on a working visit to China, presented Armenia’s foreign policy priorities at the China Institute of International Studies on June 25. He emphasized the dynamic efforts being undertaken to fulfill these priorities.
Special attention was given to bilateral relations between Armenia and China. Mirzoyan reaffirmed the Armenian government’s readiness to enhance cooperation and elevate it to a new level with a broader and more focused agenda.
Participants noted favorable conditions for advancing these ties, pointing to shared principles and mutual understanding, particularly regarding respect for territorial integrity.
During the discussion, Mirzoyan addressed regional connectivity issues, presenting the "Crossroads of Peace" initiative. He stated that Armenia, given its strategic location, could play a vital role in expanding economic and transport links.
The minister also highlighted Armenia’s efforts to normalize and develop relations with its neighbors. He shared recent developments in the peace process between Armenia and Azerbaijan, stressing the importance of intergovernmental relations and a peace treaty in securing regional stability.
The discussion also covered global and regional geopolitical trends, with Mirzoyan outlining Armenia’s positions on these matters.
At the conclusion of the visit, the minister signed the institute’s guest book for honorary visitors.
