A 3.9-magnitude earthquake struck the Iran-Turkey border region on June 30 at 12:53 p.m. local time (08:53 GMT), according to the Seismological Network of Armenia’s National Survey for Seismic Protection. The quake’s epicenter was located 28 kilometers north of the Iranian city of Maku, at a depth of 10 kilometers.

The tremor’s intensity at the epicenter reached level 5 on the MSK scale.

In Armenia, the quake was felt with a magnitude of 4 in the Ararat province, 3 in the villages of Yelpin and Chiva in Vayots Dzor, and 2–3 in Yerevan.

The tremors were recorded at 39.54⁰N latitude and 44.52⁰E longitude.
