Pashinyan presents ‘real Armenia’ vision at ethics forum

During the international conference hosted by the Center for Moral and Public Affairs at the American University of Armenia, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan presented the core tenets of the "Real Armenia" ideology.

Following his address, Pashinyan engaged with the audience, responding to questions about his presented theses, Armenia’s key challenges, and the government's strategies and policy responses to these issues.

The conference focused on the role, significance, and formation of national identity, contextualized within modern global dynamics. Participants included invited guests from Armenia, Sweden, and the United Kingdom.

Previously, Pashinyan had underscored the necessity of adopting a new Constitution as a cornerstone of the “Real Armenia” ideology. He stated that a nationwide referendum is essential due to a perceived legitimacy deficit in previous referendums, based on public perception.

Pashinyan emphasized that the new Constitution aims to shift from the “residual behavior of a stateless nation” to a “state-building civic ethos,” grounded in constitutional harmony and democratic participation.
