MP: ENA workers neglecting duties for politics will be dismissed

Civil Contract MP Vahagn Aleksanyan, commenting on Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan’s recent post stating that ENA employees "who abandon work for political machinations will be fired in July," responded that "most likely, the government will assume management of ENA starting July."

He added that any employees who leave their duties to engage in other activities should clearly be dismissed, because there’s much more work to be done at ENA, reports 1lurer.am .

He clarified: "If there are people who, instead of ensuring that citizens' paid electricity runs smoothly and without interruption, are occupied with something else during working hours, including political maneuvers, they will be dismissed."

When asked what evidence he had that some employees neglect duties during work hours, Aleksanyan answered: "There are clear publications in the press that people at ENA are being compelled to participate in one rally or another." He added that it could be even just one or two employees participating voluntarily in rallies.
