ANC: collective leadership structure coming soon

Levon Zurabyan, Vice President of the Armenian National Congress (ANC), stated during a TV program that Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan’s actions are facilitating opposition unity. He added that a new entity with collective leadership will appear soon.

Zurabyan emphasized that there is a misleading belief in politics that everything depends on a single charismatic leader. Instead, he advocated for a structure built on shared leadership, according to Aysor.am .

He warned that insisting on uniting around one leader is the shortest path to failure.

“The movement must be led by a collective leadership. Who takes on roles such as prime minister will be determined by time and the course of the struggle. The initiative signals a new phase, where, for example, eleven trusted figures will lead the movement,” he said.

These individuals will make strategic decisions daily, organize mass rallies, and engage in negotiations. Over time, natural leaders will emerge. He confirmed that discussions are already underway regarding the composition of this collective leadership, and deadlines have been set among the involved parties.

Zurabyan stressed that the new structure will operate strictly within constitutional political struggle and aims to assume full responsibility for governing the country as a comprehensive system.

“All constitutionally guaranteed forms of political struggle will be used. The governance will be taken over by a fully developed system, and people must see a clear alternative,” he stated.
