At the ongoing U20 European Freestyle Wrestling Championship in Italy, Armenian athlete Sargis Begoyan (61 kg) won a gold medal. In the final bout, he defeated Adlan Saitiev of Russia, according to the Wrestling Federation of Armenia.

Another Armenian team member, Razmik Yepremyan (86 kg), secured a bronze medal by defeating his Azerbaijani opponent with a score of 3:0.
