Detained businessman and philanthropist Samvel Karapetyan’s supporters – 10 individuals – were brought in for questioning to the Yerevan city investigative department, lawyer Lusine Martirosyan said.

Martirosyan noted that some detainees are from regions, including the town of Tashir, as reported by Aysor.am .

Regarding alleged charges, Martirosyan stated there is no clear information at this time.

“Preliminary data links this to participation in gatherings and some recording circulating on social media. It’s unclear who is speaking, what it’s about, and whether it’s been edited… Some newly created sites are sharing these recordings,” she said.

The lawyer also emphasized that lawyers were denied access to the detainees. The Human Rights Defender was informed, but no response has been received.
