On July 8, Armenian Ambassador to the United States Lilit Makunts met with Republican Congressman Darrell Issa to discuss the bilateral agenda between Armenia and the U.S., according to the Armenian Embassy in Washington.

The meeting covered regional developments, potential U.S. support in addressing current challenges, and next steps for enhancing bilateral cooperation.

During the meeting, the ambassador expressed her appreciation to Congressman Issa for supporting Armenia through his endorsement of related resolutions and public statements.

Separately, U.S. Congressman Brad Sherman expressed concern about recent events in Armenia. He posted on X that he has conveyed his concerns directly to Ambassador Lilit Makunts.
