Eduard Spertsyan, midfielder for the Armenian national team and Russian club Krasnodar, has reportedly turned down an offer from Italian side Como, according to Metaratings.
Como's head coach Cesc Fabregas had shown strong personal interest in acquiring the 25-year-old player. However, Spertsyan’s agents advised against accepting the offer due to uncertainty surrounding Fabregas’ future at the club. Reports suggest that the Spanish coach held talks with Inter Milan back in June and could potentially move there, as reported by Armsport.
Due to these circumstances, Como opted for an alternative and signed Croatian midfielder Martin Baturina, formerly of Dinamo Zagreb, in mid-June.
In the last season, which ended with Krasnodar winning the title, Spertsyan played 35 matches, scored 11 goals, and made 7 assists.
