EU Commissioner for Enlargement Marta Kos proposed forming a four-party platform including Armenia, Azerbaijan, Turkey, and the European Union, focused on regional transport connectivity. She made the statement during a joint press conference in Brussels with Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan and EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Kaja Kallas, reports Armenpress.
“We launched discussions in October. I’ve asked the minister to share Armenia’s priorities in the connectivity agenda, and we’ll discuss them together,” Kos said.
She emphasized that while many steps can be taken under the connectivity agenda, such progress is only possible under conditions of peace.
The announcement came during the 6th session of the EU-Armenia Partnership Council in Brussels, where Armenia and the EU signed a new strategic partnership agenda. The document was signed by Mirzoyan and Kallas.
