Armenia’s Foreign Ministry spokesperson Ani Badalyan responded to statements from Baku, noting that, as stated in the joint communiqué following the third meeting of the “3+3” regional cooperation format, the time and venue for the next ministerial meeting must be agreed through diplomatic channels, 1lurer.am reported.

“It is generally understood that the meeting should take place either in Yerevan or Baku. Discussions will continue to find a mutually acceptable solution. We will inform the public once an agreement is reached,” she stated.

Earlier, Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov said at a joint press conference with his Iranian counterpart that official Baku had proposed holding the next “3+3” meeting in Azerbaijan, followed by one in Armenia. “In the current context, we see no reason why Yerevan would reject this proposal,” Bayramov remarked.

The “3+3” format includes Armenia, Azerbaijan, and Georgia, alongside Russia, Iran, and Turkey. Georgia has so far abstained from participating, though the other members have reiterated that the door remains open for Tbilisi. The previous three meetings took place in Moscow, Tehran, and Istanbul.
