Russian coach Alexander Grigoryan, who previously led Armenian clubs Alashkert and Urartu, explained why he voted for FC Krasnodar midfielder Eduard Spertsyan as the best player for November-December.
According to Grigoryan, Spertsyan is currently in the best form of his career, Factor.am reports.
“Spertsyan isn’t just the best because he’s Armenian or from Pyatigorsk. Right now, he looks more complete than the other contenders. I’d risk saying he’s at his career peak. That’s also a big reason behind Krasnodar’s success,” Grigoryan said.
The Russian Premier League’s Player of the Month is selected through votes by fans, football experts, and commentators from the Match Premier TV channel.
The Armenia national team captain has played 18 matches this season, scoring 8 goals and providing 12 assists. At age 25, he currently leads the league in combined goals and assists.
