According to the Armenian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, citizens of 113 countries will be allowed to stay in Armenia for up to six months without a visa, under specific conditions.
“From January 1 to July 1, 2026, citizens of 113 countries who hold valid residence permits in the United States, European Union member states, Schengen Area countries, United Arab Emirates, Kingdom of Bahrain, State of Qatar, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, State of Kuwait, or the Sultanate of Oman—valid for at least six months from the date of entry into Armenia—will be eligible for visa-free entry, with a maximum permitted stay of 180 days within one calendar year,” the ministry announced.
Additional conditions
The residence permit must be presented in the form of a physical card or a sticker in the passport.
Residence permits may be recognized by Armenia’s border service if they include, in Latin script, the document name, the foreign citizen’s full name and nationality, date of birth, and document validity date (using the Gregorian calendar format, such as 18.06.2027 or 18 JUN 2027).
These citizens are granted the right to stay in Armenia without a visa for up to 180 days, provided they present an accepted residence permit in the required plastic or sticker format, as recognized by the listed countries.
