Former President of Armenia and leader of the Republican Party (RPA), Serzh Sargsyan, stated that the party has not yet made a decision regarding its participation in the upcoming elections. Once a decision is made, it will be announced publicly.
Commenting on the potential unification of opposition forces, Sargsyan emphasized the complexity of such a process, as reported by Sputnik Armenia.
“I wish it would happen, but events show that unifying the opposition is a difficult task. And I’m not talking about running on a single electoral list but we’ll see,” he said.
Parliamentary elections in Armenia are scheduled for June 2026.
