
Armenia is among the countries invited to participate in the first Board of Peace summit initiated by U.S. President Donald Trump, according to a report by Axios.
The summit is scheduled to take place on February 19. From the post-Soviet region, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, and Azerbaijan have also received invitations. In total, 60 countries are expected to participate.
"The first Board of Peace summit, led by Donald Trump, could mark a new architecture of Washington’s influence in the Middle East," Axios reports.
Armenia participated as a founding member in the inaugural Board of Peace assembly held on January 22 in Davos. During the ceremony, national representatives signed the Peace Council charter in the presence of the U.S. President.
Alongside Armenia, delegations from the United States, Argentina, Azerbaijan, Bahrain, Belgium, Bulgaria, Egypt, Hungary, Indonesia, Jordan, Kazakhstan, Kosovo, Morocco, Pakistan, Qatar, Paraguay, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, the United Arab Emirates, Uzbekistan, and Israel attended the signing ceremony.
