
Chief of Staff to the Prime Minister Arayik Harutyunyan and the Prime Minister’s chief adviser, former Armenian Ambassador to the United States Lilit Makunts, met with representatives of the Armenian community of Los Angeles at the Iranian Armenian Union to discuss what they described as a disinformation campaign against Armenia.
Harutyunyan announced the meeting on his Facebook page.
During the meeting, participants discussed recent domestic political developments in Armenia, achievements recorded in the field of foreign policy, in particular the latest reciprocal visits between Armenia and the United States and the agreements reached, as well as the ongoing peace process.
U.S. Vice President J.D. Vance, following his meeting with Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, stated that Armenia and the United States had concluded negotiations on a so-called 1-2-3 agreement in the field of civil nuclear energy, opening broad opportunities for the implementation of major projects. He noted that the agreement envisages up to $5 billion in initial exports from the U.S., in addition to $4 billion in support through fuel supply and maintenance.
