A charter flight organized on March 3 transported 115 passengers from Muscat to Yerevan.

Most of them — more than 90 people — were Armenian citizens, including two who had reached Oman from the Far East. The information was reported by Armenian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Ani Badalyan, Factor.am reported.

“The staff of Armenia’s Embassy in Oman were present at the airport, and the citizens were provided with the necessary assistance,” Ani Badalyan said.

Earlier, the first evacuation flight organized from Oman landed in Yerevan, bringing 15 Armenian citizens back home. The Fly One Armenia aircraft departing from Muscat also transported citizens who had arrived in Oman from various cities in the United Arab Emirates.

On February 28, Israel and the U.S. carried out airstrikes on Iran, killing Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. Iran responded with strikes toward Israel and several Persian Gulf countries hosting U.S. military bases.
