The opponent of UFC lightweight division No. 2 contender Arman Tsarukyan has been changed ahead of the HYPE FC Brazil tournament scheduled for March 11 in Rio de Janeiro.
According to the promotion’s press service, Tsarukyan will now compete under grappling rules in a 10-minute bout against Dagestan-born fighter Muhammad Mokaev, who represents the United Kingdom, Factor.am reported.
The 25-year-old Mokaev has fought 15 mixed martial arts bouts and won all of them.
Originally, Tsarukyan was expected to face American wrestler and blogger Giorgio Poulas at the HYPE FC Brazil event. Poulas will instead compete in a rematch on March 28 in the Real American Wrestling (RAW) freestyle wrestling league.
The Armenian fighter has competed in 26 mixed martial arts bouts, winning 23 and losing three.
