Mariam Stepanyan has been appointed head coach of Armenia’s women’s national football team, the Football Federation of Armenia announced.

Until now, she had been leading Armenia’s women’s U-19 national team.

“I accept the position of head coach with great joy and responsibility. I am proud to have the opportunity to work with this team. I hope that together we will work with dedication and achieve positive results. I wish success to all of us on this path,” Stepanyan said.

Earlier, the Football Federation of Armenia reported that Artak Adamyan had decided not to continue working with the Armenian women’s national team.

The federation thanked Adamyan for his professional and dedicated work.
