Grigoryan meets Nordic-Baltic delegation

On March 16, Armenia’s Security Council Secretary Armen Grigoryan received a delegation composed of directors of Eastern Europe departments from the foreign ministries of the Nordic-Baltic cooperation format countries, the Security Council office reported.

During the meeting, the sides also discussed the situation in the region and related security developments.

At the request of the participants, the Security Council secretary presented steps aimed at further institutionalizing peace between Armenia and Azerbaijan and emphasized their importance.

In this context, members of the delegation stressed their support for efforts aimed at establishing peace and stability in the region.

On February 28, Israel and the U.S. carried out airstrikes against Iran, killing Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. Iran responded with attacks toward Israel and countries in the Persian Gulf where U.S. military bases are located.
