
Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan met in Muscat with Saud bin Hamoud Al Habsi, Oman’s Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Water Resources.
During the meeting, the sides agreed to promote direct contacts between agencies, government institutions, and business communities to implement joint initiatives and expand mutually beneficial cooperation.
The interlocutors discussed opportunities for developing sectoral cooperation, as well as prospects for boosting trade both in imports and exports.
They also outlined areas of mutual interest that could offer the greatest potential for expanding bilateral trade turnover.
Addressing the topic of economic development and investment opportunities, Mirzoyan noted that peace between Armenia and Azerbaijan could create new opportunities for the development of regional connectivity.
An official opening of Armenia’s resident embassy in Muscat, the capital of Oman, is also expected to take place.
