Over 3,100 killed in Iran, rights group says

The death toll in Iran has exceeded 3,100, the U.S.-based Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA) reported.

According to HRANA, 1,394 of the victims were civilians, including at least 210 children. At the same time, 1,153 deaths were classified as military, while the fate of 639 individuals remains unknown.

On February 28, Israel and the United States carried out airstrikes on Iran, resulting in the death of Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. Iran retaliated with strikes toward Israel as well as Gulf countries hosting U.S. military bases.
