Armenia is interested in the normalization of relations between the European Union and Georgia and is carrying out efforts in that direction, Deputy Foreign Minister Vahan Kostanyan said at a parliamentary committee on European integration, responding to a question from opposition MP Armen Gevorgyan.
According to Kostanyan, progress in EU–Georgia negotiations could help create a more favorable environment for the development of Armenia–EU relations, Sputnik Armenia reports.
“Progress in EU–Georgia negotiations will help create a significantly more positive environment for the future of Armenia–EU relations. At the same time, we are interested in ensuring that relations between the European Union and Georgia move into a positive track, and we are also undertaking certain efforts in that direction,” Kostanyan said.
