A draft decision on organizing the 2026 summer conscription and discharge has been submitted for public discussion.
Under the draft, the process of staffing the Armed Forces through conscription is scheduled to take place from 2026 June 22 to August 15. At the same time, the discharge of service members who have completed compulsory military service is planned for the period from June 24 to August 15, 2026, inclusive, Factor.am reports.
It was noted that this timetable is linked to the fact that during the 2024 summer conscription, staffing of the Armed Forces was carried out from June 24 to August 15, inclusive. The discharge of service members who had completed compulsory or alternative service was also scheduled for the same period.
Those considered subject to conscription are male citizens who turn 18 by June 30, 2026, inclusive, as well as citizens whose previously granted deferment expires by that date.
In addition, female citizens who submitted an application for voluntary service by March 1, 2026 may take part in the conscription, along with male citizens who have expressed a wish to be conscripted on other grounds established by law.
