Pashinyan highlights Armenia–Estonia cooperation

Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan emphasized the importance of multi-sector cooperation between Armenia and Estonia during a meeting with a delegation led by Estonian Foreign Minister Margus Tsahkna.

He noted that bilateral relations have recently gained greater intensity, a trend also confirmed by high-level mutual visits that have provided new impetus for expanding cooperation across various fields.

Pashinyan also highlighted Estonia’s significant role in developing Armenia–European Union cooperation, including in effectively implementing democratic reforms in Armenia.

Margus Tsahkna, for his part, stated that Estonia is interested in deepening cooperation with Armenia. He stressed that his country is ready to continue supporting the Armenian government’s reform agenda and to contribute to enhancing Armenia–EU cooperation.

The Estonian foreign minister also underlined the importance of hosting the European Political Community summit in Yerevan, expressing confidence that it would be held at a high level.

The sides exchanged views on regional developments, the Armenia–EU cooperation agenda, the visa liberalization process, and other issues.

Earlier, Armenia’s Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan said at a joint press conference with Margus Tsahkna that the release of Armenian detainees held in Baku would be an important step toward strengthening peace between Armenia and Azerbaijan. Tsahkna noted that establishing peace between the two countries is a significant historic step, though resolving all issues will take time.
