Armenia bans general aviation flights May 3–5

From May 3 to 5, any type of general aviation flights will be prohibited in Armenia’s airspace, according to a statement by the Civil Aviation Committee.

The restriction is linked to large-scale events scheduled in the country, including the 8th EAEU summit, the Armenia–EU summit, and the Yerevan Dialogue initiative, as well as the participation of numerous foreign delegations.

“On May 3–5, 2026, for security reasons, all general aviation flights, including any operations of civilian unmanned aerial vehicles, will be prohibited in Armenia’s airspace,” the statement said.
