
Within a criminal case investigated by Armenia’s Anti-Corruption Committee, preventive measures including house arrest, bail, and a ban on absence, have been applied to 12 of the 14 individuals detained on April 16, the committee said, according to 1lurer.am .
Party member Gohar Meloyan had earlier stated that house arrest was imposed on six of those detained, while a motion for one individual was rejected and that person was released.
Earlier, it was reported that as a result of investigative actions by the Anti-Corruption Committee, factual evidence was obtained indicating that members of the Strong Armenia party, along with individuals registered as employees of an affiliated NGO, distributed electoral bribes to a number of voters in the Artashat community of Ararat region.
On April 14, two members of the Strong Armenia party — Gohar Ghumashyan and Verzhine Stepanyan — were detained. The following day, the Anti-Corruption Court applied administrative supervision measures against them.
