The United National Socialist Party (UNSP) led by independent MP Hovik Aghazaryan will not participate in the parliamentary elections scheduled for June 7, 2026.
During an extraordinary session, the party’s board reviewed its participation plans and decided to withdraw, taking into account recent political developments.
The statement notes that the main motivation behind the decision was to avoid contributing to the fragmentation of opposition votes.
“At the same time, UNSP will continue to make its modest efforts to unite the opposition field into a single front,” the statement said.
Earlier, the party had announced its participation and presented the top ten candidates on its electoral list, including Ofelya Avagyan, Hovik Aghazaryan, Hakob Aslanyan, Ruben Melkonyan, Lyova Mkrtchyan, Naira Martoyan, Ivan Agazaryan, Artur Muradyan, Mariam Movsisyan, and Sargis Hovhannisyan.
